COMPLEMENTING GRAND DESIGNS
The floor solution for the high school Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium was created in cooperation with BIG Bjarne Ingels Group. The wooden rafters are a significant feature of the building’s design. Therefore, it was important to create a floor that would complement the rafters – both in shade and quality.
BIG chose a sports floor in white pigmented ash installed on a UnoBat 45 undercarriage system. The floor matches the architectural idea as well as the requirements on all-round, daily use by the many people at the school. The UnoBat 45 undercarriage system works perfectly with built-in under floor heating and has the world’s lowest construction height for A4 high performance sports floors installed on batten constructions. UnoBat 45 is also very easy and fast to install making it possible to keep down both costs and building time.
